This delightful festival is Bath’s answer to the Salzburg Mozartwochen, at a third the price! For the 2016 festival I have again reserved rooms in the 3-star Abbey Hotel, close to Bath Abbey, where the Saturday evening concert takes place.
The remaining concerts are in the nearby Guildhall, St Mary’s Church, Bathwick – a 15-minute (flat) walk from the hotel – and in the Georgian Assembly Rooms, also a 15-minute walk, but partly uphill.
